I Care a Lot is a REAL movie with no CGI or bluescreen.
IMDB describes 2020’s I CARE A LOT like so:
“A crooked legal guardian who drains the savings of her elderly wards meets her match when a woman she tries to swindle turns out to be more than she first appears.”
Yesterday, Donald Moore suggested the Netflix movie I CARE A LOT. Decided to watch it last night – primarily because Rosabund Pike is the star.
I first saw her in FRACTURE with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. She was beautiful, great body, good actress – musta watched the movie 50 times.
I spent the first ten minutes trying to decide if I should watch I CARE A LOT all the way through, or not. But when the – I can’t remember what we used to call them before this censorship onslaught began. But if memory serves the word stared with M – ended in T – and meant someone who was extremely short.
Anyway, when the M-guy suddenly and unexpectedly pulled a gun and aimed at his own private detective, I was hooked.
Tremendous plotting by J. Blakeson – who also directed the movie.
He has 10 writing credits – none of which I know.
Twists and turns aplenty.
But I was getting pissed off near the and – and kept saying “No fucking way the movie can end like this” – and then comes one of the best examples of foreshadowing I ever saw.
Rosabund Pike is the star – very plain-looking in this one & much different sexually – 54 credits – FRACTURE (2007) – the leading role in RADIOACTIVE (2019) – true story about Marie Curie.
Peter Dinklage is the m-blank-blank-blank-blank-t – 86 credits – loved him in TIPTOES (2003) – never saw NIP-TUCK or GAME OF THRONES – but he’s in both – seven episodes of NIP-TUCK (2006) and 67 episodes of GAME OF THRONES (2011-2019).
Elza Gonzalez is the Girl Friday – never heard of her – 22 credits – she’s OK.
Diannne Weist is outstanding as the unwitting victim – 63 credits – THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO (1985) – FOOTLOOSE (1994) – THE HORSE WHISPERER (1998).
I rarely watch anything produced after the early 2000’s – but this is a REAL movie with no CGI or bluescreen. Thanks, Donald.
