The Judicial Group
Bernie Wald
“A man’s standing in the doorway. Looks to be around 50, three-piece suit, holding a briefcase.”
“Bernard Wald, Esquire, at your service. Your friend Mike informed me you were in some sort of jam and needed a lawyer.”
Bernie is Steve’s crackerjack defense lawyer.
Using Gregory Peck from To Kill a Mocking Bird was too easy. Then I thought about George C. Scott from Anatomy of a Murder. But I was afraid Patton might pop up. Too harsh. Needed somebody smooth. Sounds like Richard Gere in Primal Fear.
Judge #1
“A female judge is sitting behind the bench. Wearing a black robe and glasses. I’m guessing early 50s.”
No doubt about my 2 judges. Judge Judy goes here.
Judge #2
“The judge asks them to identify themselves. Which they do.”
Judge Jeanine goes here.
Just realized, for some reason, I didn’t name either judge. Both are important to the plot. If and when I do a rewrite, I’ll name them.
So that’s it for the cast.
Thanks for playing along.
