Amazon approved the cover. And my new marketing director says she can make this book a best seller. So let’s take it a step further. Let’s start casting the Netflix series. By the way, we wouldn’t turn down Amazon Prime.
The Dead Stripper Plot
Philadelphia – Uber driver Steve Piasecki picks up an exotic dancer at a topless club in Philadelphia, transports her home.
She’s found dead the next morning of an apparent fentanyl overdose. Detectives suspect he’s the drug dealer who supplied the fentanyl that killed her.
But the autopsy proves she was strangled, making Steve a suspected killer. CID detectives arrest him.
Steve finds a crackerjack lawyer, great courtroom drama. Exonerated.
Happy ending, right? Not just yet. The real murderer is still on the loose.
Will Steve’s determination and cunning help him find the killer?
And, of course, love and romance run throughout.
Casting Call
Let’s start casting with the 2 male leads.
Steve Piasecki
The Dead Stripper is the first novel in the Steve Piasecki series.
Steve Piasecki in the main character. Our hero. Someone like Ray Donovan or Jack Ryan. Also like Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote.
Steve’s an aspiring writer who moonlights as an Uber driver. His riders thrust him into the midst of crimes. He then becomes an amateur sleuth who uses moxie to solve the crimes.
Let’s see. Steve’s an aspiring writer. An Uber driver. And he’s Polish.
Well, I’m Polish. Drive for Uber. Was once an aspiring writer. Have plenty of moxie.
So, let’s pop me into a time machine, take me back to age 34, and I’m perfect for the part.
My Friend
Steve’s sidekick is one of his best friends. Also a professional wrestler.
One of my best friend’s is a professional wrestler. Hit Man Bruno in the ring.
His name’s Mike Tartaglia. But I’ve called him My Friend since the day we met 38 years ago.
So let’s go with my friend My Friend as Steve’s sidekick.
We have 3 important female characters:
1 – The dead stripper is alive when the story begins. So we need her for a little while. And she’s a great pick.
2 – Steve needs a love interest. Since she’s local, from Eddystone, we considered Jennifer Anniston for the lead. Back in her Friends days, or Along Came Polly. But she came in third.
3 – Steve also winds up in the midst of a lover’s triangle. So we need her, too. Thought about Bridget Fonda, from Jackie Brown. But went with the runner-up for the lead.
Since she’s local, from Eddystone, we considered Jennifer Anniston for the lead. Back in her Friends days, or Along Came Polly. But we picked someone else.
Next post reveals the 3 gals.
