Absolute Power

Absolute Power is a great movie.

Absolute Power

To quote my former NAPS classmate Far Arrington – “ABSOLUTE POWER is great.”

Finally got to watch Absolute Power yesterday – all the way through – uninterrupted – in fact, watched it twice.

IMDB describes the movie like so:

“Career thief Luther Whitney (Cint Eastwood) witnesses a horrific crime involving U.S. President Alan Richmond (Gene Hackman).

Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Ed Harris, Scott Glenn, an old E.G. Marshall, and Laura Linney – with Mark Margolis showing up as Red the bartender at Red’s Bar – he played drug czar Tio Salamanca in Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul.

You hafta pay attention to every frame – something’s always happening – sometimes very subtle.

This is at least Gene Hackman’s second role as a philandering politician who’s responsible for the triggering incident – a female’s death. The other was No Way Out with Kevin Costner.

Not going to spoil it by bringing out any more of the plot – here’s the trailer.

I’m America’s Best Crime Writer

and I approve this message.

Warner Books published my first book – Born to Be Wild – in 1992. It still sells every day at Amazon & Kindle. It’s a true story about certain members of the Warlocks motorcycle gang.

The story takes 21 years to play out – with many twists & turns – an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad – but these outlaw bikers make the Sons look like Cub Scouts.
