So it was podcast or YouTube channel?

The most popular podcasts run between 20 & 40 minutes – multiply those numbers by at least 3 or 4 to get the time requirement to produce that podcast. You’re talking about a few hours. Then, add in the cost of equipment & production – not cheap.

In contrast, the most popular YouTube videos run for 3 minutes – reduces production time to under an hour – and production cost is zero.
