Vera Cruz

Tried to watch Vera Cruz today.

A 1954 movie starring Gary Cooper & Burt Lancaster – also Cesar Romero, Ernest Borgnine, & a cast of 1,000s – after the U.S Civil War – Mexico had a civil war – but the military leaders in charge kept making references in French – French in Mexico?

Burt Lancaster kept over-grinning with a set of chompers that looked like they were painted with white enamel – & then shellacked – served no purpose – other than distracting – terrible movie – couldn’t take 15 minutes.

But I did learn something – That was the second Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867) – known in France as Expédition du Mexique – & instigated by Napoleon III – huh – learn something new every day.

I’m America’s Best Crime Writer – Barry Bowe – & I approve this message.

My first book – Born to Be Wild – was published in 1992 and is still selling on Amazon & Kindle. It’s a true story about certain members of the Warlocks motorcycle gang.

The story took 21 years to play out with many twists & turns. It’s an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad – but these outlaw bikers make the Sons look like Cub Scouts.
