Someone to Watch Over Me is a 1987 crime drama with some romance thrown in ─ starring Tom Berenger, Mimi Rogers, and Lorraine Bracco.
On the undercard are Jerry Orbach and Andreas Katsulas who plays a magnificent Bad Guy.
Ridley Scott directed, so you know it’s a good movie.
For Tom Berenger it was four years after Eddie and the Cruisers. He plays a New York cop who’s married to Lorraine Bracco ─ who looks sexier in this than she did in The Sopranos. Anyway, he’s supposed to provide protection for hot-shit socialite Mimi Rogers who witnessed a murder. But the cop and the socialite hook up while he’s trying to track down the bad guy who’s now threatening to kill the witness he’s nailing.
I hadn’t seem this for quite a while. I liked it back then and I like it now.
