First female lead in a TV cop show
Police Woman
Wrote about Elmore Leonard last week – my virtual mentor – which led me to his first film adaptation – “Moment of Vengeance” – in black & white on Schlitz Playhouse in 1956 – starring Ward Bond & brunette Angie Dickenson – which sent me searching – what an interesting individual.
Play word association with Angie Dickenson.
Females of my generation might say “Police Woman” because Angie Dickenson was the first female in the lead role on a TV cop series.
But red-blooded males of my age might start drooling when they think about her naked body.
Curiously – she did not do a nude scene before she turned 40 – think about that – and here’s something else I just learned – but I’m sure Donald Moore already knows about – she was hooked up with Frank Sinatra for quite a few years.
Working on a little write-up right now – in the meantime here’s a trailer from “Dressed to Kill: – btw she didn’t want to take that role.
