Lusting Beast

“If you don’t spread your legs, I’m going to put the gun inside you and blow your insides out.”

Lusting Beast

Official Detective magazine published my second true crime story in its October 1991 issue.

The editors titled it “The Lusting Beast in Combat Boots.”

On Sandy Point Beach on the island of St. Croix, a pair of picnickers fell prey to the lusting beast in combat boots.

At the time I was teaching algebra, geometry, and trig at Country Day School – an expensive private school – on the island of St. Croix. Rather than risk getting fired for writing a murder story, I used the pen name Steven Barry by flip-flopping my first name and middle name.

Lusting Beast is now available in eBook form and also in audio form on the America’s Best Crime Magazine podcasts.

It’s the second story, of six, in my Caribbean Collection of stories – all true murder cases that took place on St. Thomas, St. Croix, and Puerto Rico.

I’m America’s Best Crime Writer and I approve this message.

And now a word form my sponsor – Warner Books published Born to Be Wild in 1992 – and it’s still selling.
