Sunday night – out at 7 – right over to Casey’s on Chester Pike – guy and his young daughter – came up to pick up work truck for tomorrow – but one of the other workers took it – so he ate at Casey’s and back home to Wilmington.

Now a white couple, 30s – just moved to Wilmington  from New Orleans – don’t know they’re way around yet > going to a restaurant.

I tell them about my 1 visit to New Orleans – taking a train from Houston to Jacksonville – guy gets on and sits next to me – we start talking – he asks me what I do – I tell him I’m a special investigator & he immediately stops talking to me.

Train stops at station in New Orleans – 15-minute layover under the Superdome – I’m getting off to get some coffee – the guy’s right in front of me – as soon as he steps off the train – two plainclothes detectives slap on handcuffs & arrest – to this him I’m sure he thinks I was in on the arrest.

The woman then says she loves true crime – I mention Born to Be Wild and she buys Kindle version right then and there – I mention new Special Investigator podcast – she goes to Spotify & becomes my first follower – sweet.

Long ride to Kennett Square to pick up 2 gorgeous young ladies – just got back from Eagles tailgating – going to Wilmington.

Pick up a white dude, 30s, Flyers jersey – so we talk old-time Flyers stuff from when I lived in Voorhees and used to run into those guys in the mall, gas stations, and singles bars.

Over to Amazon to pick up black chick going to north side of Wilmington.

Now a couple short hop-scotches in Wilmington.

Then pick up a black dude – take him to work at a gas station near PA border – surprised to see that gas in Delaware is $3.11 – more expensive than a couple places in Delco at $2.88.

And, finally, a black gal, 20s, in Brookhaven > going to Swarthmore – and that’s it – home by 11.
