Say ‘what’ once more. I double-dare you, motherfucker.
Frank Whaley
I mentioned Frank Whaley yesterday as a guest star in Season 1 Episode 3 of Ray Donovan. Bill Condon quickly brought it to my attention that Frank Whaley was in Pulp Fiction & Field of Dreams.
I saw Field of Dreams (1989), Born on the Fourth of July (1989) & Hoffa (1992) – Just found out he was in all three – but don’t remember him.
But Frank Whaley – going on 58 – has 119 credits – plus 3 Days Rising – whatever that is – in post-production.
As Bill said, he, of course, is in one of the greatest scenes in the history of movies – he’s on the receiving end of Sam Jackson’s, “Say ‘what’ once more. I double-dare you, motherfucker” in Pulp Fiction.
I first remember him in 1991’s Career Opportunities – but you hafta suspend all reality to imagine him hooking up with Jennifer Connelly – an absolute “no fuckin’ way, José.”
By the way, Jennifer Connelly scored 5-of-5 on my Sex-O-Meter until I found out she was vegan – dropped her to 4-of-5 – why? – I heard vegans don’t eat meat – drum roll, please.
Then came the aforementioned Pulp Fiction (1994) – and just this year – since I started watching crime series – caught him 1 episode of The Blacklist – 1 episode of Jack Ryan – and 7 episodes of Ray Donovan.

Warner Books published Born to Be Wild in 1992 & it still sells every day at Amazon & Kindle. True story about certain members of the Warlocks motorcycle gang.
The story takes 21 years to play out – with many twists & turns – an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy & Breaking Bad – but these outlaw bikers make the Sons look like Cub Scouts.
