Fools Rush In – Salma Hayek outstanding – Matthew Perry once again a hack.
I musta seen 1997’s Fools Rush In 40 or 50 times.
Here’s the plot: “After a one night stand with Matthew Perry (Alex), Salma Hayek (Isabel) realizes she’s pregnant – (btw that would never happen in real life.)
Huge cultural differences exist – he’s an upwardly-mobile “Swell” – from New England – picture a Main Liner – an executive who lives in Manhattan – she’s from a strict, religious Mexican family – a photographer in a Las Vegas casino – and both have prior love interests – but they decide to get married and must make compromises to their cultural traditions.
The movie’s all Salma Hayek (81 credits) – 30 years old, charming, ambitious, sexy – but Matthew Perry (59 credits) is once again a one-trick pony – he’s the same character in Friends, The Whole Nine Yards, and The Whole Ten Yards.
Not much of an undercard – Matthew Perry’s real-life father John Bennet Perry (93 credits) plays Perry’s father and washed-out Jill Clayburgh (71 credits) plays his mother – Tomas Milian (119 credits) and Anne Betancourt (91 credits) play Salma Hayek’s parents.
Nice sequence in a holiday cookout on a boat on a lake outside Las Vegas.
Carlos Gómez (113 credits) and Suzanne Snyder (37 credits) play the former love interests.
Obviously I love the movie and Salma Hayek.

Warner Books published Born to Be Wild in 1992 & it still sells every day at Amazon & Kindle. True story about certain members of the Warlocks motorcycle gang.
The story takes 21 years to play out – with many twists & turns – an amalgam of Sons of Anarchy & Breaking Bad – but these outlaw bikers make the Sons look like Cub Scouts.
