Good day, readers. I want to thank Barry for having me here today.
My name is Darlene McGarrity and when I’m not driving around aimlessly snapping pictures of dilapidated barns and abandoned buildings in all parts of Pennsylvania, I am stopping traffic to redirect turtles to safety and moving roadkill so vultures aren’t killed doing their part in the circle of life. I also enjoy true crime documentaries, American history, and coffee.
How is this relevant?
Because I just released my first full-length novel and every character in it is based on a small part of me from young Rose, to her mother, to Tucker the clueless wannabe biker, to the nasty bully and beyond. I think many writers put a small piece of themselves in most of what they write and I am no exception.
CONSEQUENCES is about a young girl who runs away from a youth house and gets tangled up with a coal town biker gang. Despite her desperate attempts at staying out of trouble to live a “normal life,” trouble finds her and those around her everywhere she goes.
There can be beauty in tragedy, and that young girl (Rose Jackson) shows us how it is possible. Go pick up a copy and hit me up on Facebook, or leave a review on Amazon, or Twitter or whatever. I truly appreciate your interest and support.
You can find CONSEQUENCES and more at my Amazon Page.
